Thanx a ton for this great upload.
Am I right, but was this one of those Dick Clark shows? I think DC tried to make "amends" to Jerry Lee and Richard for not supporting them in the '60s. Yes, Richard was on about 3 of his Saturday afternoon TV deals, lip-syncing and it must be said that Richard *did* lip-sync the new tunes, Bama Lama, It Ain't Watcha Do... and I Don't Know What You've Got.
When I say support, I mean *seriously spin their new sides*! In the way any new Beatles or Stones or Herman's Hermits would be boomed out there. I don't recall hearing Do You Feel It? or I Don't Want To Discuss It or Try Some Of Mine or Dew Drop Inn in those years.
All I recall is Paul Anka, Dion and the Belmonts, Connie Francis, Chubby Checker, Chuck Berry (usually an "oldie"), then James Brown (good choice), Paul Revere and the Raiders, and whoever else.
Richard and Bo and Carl and Gene?.....next to nothing!
Ok, ok. I'll exhale.
Thanks again for the great post!
