I just learned that there are more mid '70s recordings than the two released this far on Mainstream. Some are instrumentals by Richard's band, but also, some have his voice on them!

Tunes:

  1. Try To Help Your Brother
  2. Iron Horse
  3. People Don't Care
  4. Good Good Girl
  5. You Make Me So Very Happy
  6. Treat Her Like A Lady
  7. Latin X
  8. Give Me Power
  9. Funk Proof
  10. Rhythm Rock
  11. Reach Out And Help Your Brother

There's even a possibility it won't take forever for these to be released on a CD. I'll post more information when I get it.

This far I've only got confirmation that Treat Her Like A Lady has a vocal, but it's not Richard.

Information dripping in. The guy with the recordings was under the impression Richard is the singer on Treat Her Like A Lady, so, it's probable he's mistaken with the rest of the vocals, too. In this case we're left with the possible first official CD release of Try To Help Your Brother and some previously unreleased stuff by the LR band. Not bad, but not as good as expected.

If we just get Try To Help Your Brother and Funk Proof that's pretty cool but I still expect that there's (at least) *one* more Richrd vocal, in that collection.

The thought of a *new song* with Richard singing...makes my big toe shoot right up in my boot!

The Mainstream label is generally available for license to release. Which company gets to put them out first remains to be seen.

Hi Timo,

thanks for that hint. Took a long time for the release.
It's a pity but it seems to me that there are only downloads available?
Couldn't find any CD release.

Here is a short advert on youtube:

The 13th tune sounds more like the 11th tune on the first list, Reach Out And Help Your Brother, as he pretty much just repeats something like "I reach out, I can help your brother".
