Great news!

Naturally I would love to have heard the 13 minute version, but after all quality control and editing are part of the normal recording process. Sounds like a gem.

I wa happy to see that the advance order (Amazon) for the new CD is impressive. This CD could go Top 40 on th Album Charts and Richard will get grea exposure...I should say the "Richard On Fire" of 1968 to 1971, will get hopefully some good airplay.

Thanks.

Look at this! Looks like our site beat 'em to the punch, by listing the real songtitle of the song thought to be "I Tried". (see Rolling Stone magazine, 1971 article).

The site Copyright List got it....Right!

Oh my soul!!

Went to CD Universe to look for a listing on the ANALOG MAN CD (no plug) and did not see "But I Try" on the songlist.

Should we brace ourselves for another....shock? Surprised

We'll see what arrives at our doorsteps sometime after 5 June, 2012!

Wonder if "But I Try" has been getting a mention from Little Richard, onstage? Any concert goers recall?

I really think this is big, big news: Joe Walsh includes a 41 year old track on a "comeback" album...and the vocal is by another artist, Richard!

I hope to follow the Billboard charts for the "Analog man" CD itself but to watch for any"Chart activity" for the track, "But I Try". What a pleasure if we could add a "2012" record on the wiki "Charts"!

Two? To me the page claims highest rank was 12.

Appears to me to be: 12 - 3 - 34 - 69 [Guess I read "3" as "2"].

The number of weeks on chart is not a chart position.

I really need to use the reading glasses I bought back in April. Sorry folks. So...Analog Man is sustaining at Number 12?

I'm aware that number of weeks is not the same as highest chart position. If not, then that would mean Michael Jackson's "Bad" album never got higher than....500? Smile

Thanks.

The three small numbers are "Last week's position", "Weeks on chart", and "Peak". So, the chart positions have been 12 first week, 34 last week, and 69 this week, and this is it's third week on chart.

Yeah. In the good ole days..as I recall...the charts would have current position, last week's position, and number of weeks. I guess that "extra" number threw me off.

We can easily say Richard played a big part in another hit album: Twins, Rock Rhythm and Country, A Vision Shared, For The Children, etc.
